orange blueberry olive oil muffins
A new project that I have been meaning to share with you for the last week, but then life got in the way and time has been playing tricks on me.
Silly, time, and your trickery.
Well, I’m happy to be able to finally share it with you.
Bumble Olive Oil Company is a local (Toledo, Ohio) artisan shop that carries the highest quality olive oils and balsamic vinegars you can find. Full of rich antioxidants, their oils are like nothing I have ever tasted before. Before discovering Bumble, I was always confused when a recipe would call for ‘good quality olive oil’. I always figured any ‘extra virgin’ from the grocery store was good enough.
Well, after receiving a gift set of their oils and vinegars back in the Fall (you may remember my Balsamic Brussels Sprouts), I had a light bulb moment.
Ooohhhh….
This is what olive oil should taste like.
Gotcha. Not only is their quality unbeatable, the variety of flavors and infusions you will find in their shop will blow your mind.
Dark Chocolate Balsamic Vinegar? Yes, please!
One of my favorite olive oils is their Blood Orange Olive Oil. It’s incredibly fruity and seeing as how I’ve been on a never ending citrus kick lately, I knew I needed to bake this oil into something fabulous.
Enter: Orange Blueberry Olive Oil Muffins.
These muffins are the moistest, most flavorful and addictive muffins I have ever had. If you’ve never baked with olive oil before, these muffins are the perfect place to start.
This muffin recipe is the first in my collaboration with Bumble and you can find the Orange Blueberry Olive Oil Muffin recipe over on Bumble’s blog. Not local? Not a problem. Just head over to Bumble’s website to stock up on all the goodies. Just looking at these muffins is making me crave another batch. You would think that the four batches I made in the last month would have been enough. Apparently not. This post is part of an ongoing relationship with Bumble Olive Oil Company. While this is part of a series of sponsored posts, all of the opinions shared within this post are completely my own.
Olive oil is the best when it is good quality. The ones that are infused are awesome. These muffins look delicious!
You’re totally right, Nancy! They have this other Chipotle Olive Oil that is awesome, too. Really, I’m kind of obsessed with all of their things 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by!
So THIS is what Ina means when she says “good Olive Oil”. Yay!! I know where to buy it now!!
These look absolutely wonderful!!
Ina was totally who I was thinking of! I always knew she was probably secretly judging the quality of my olive oil, but now she won’t have to.
Balsamic is my favourite. I’ll check them out! And your pictures are, as ever, a dream! xx
Thanks so much, Bess!!
New follower, love your blog! Your photos are fantastic!
Thanks so much! I’m so glad you stopped by 🙂

I never knew that olive oils had flavors. All I know is that they are healthy oils that are good for any dish. Anyway, I have seem muffins mixed with coconut oil but I wonder about the taste when it is mixed with olive oils this time.

I love to bake with olive oil, and Imhave a bottle of the oil for this recipe. Unfortunately, both you and Bumble have the recipe hidden or removed from your sites. Is the recipe published somewhere?
Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Lyn. I will look into the problem and see if I can find out where the recipe went to. Thanks for stopping by!
